Hola Mariana and Say Hueque desde Belgica,
We had a very good time in Argentina and this was also thanks to you and your agency. It would indeed have been quite a job to make all the arrangements by ourselves, booking the flights, making the reservations for the hotels, arranging the excursions. I must say that every thing was all right, the flights ( except that aerolinas argentinas is not very reliable concerning time tables), the hotels, the transfers and so on.
The highlights of our tour were certainly the Torres del Paine, as for the landscape but also because of the excellent Lago grey hotel in it's wonderful setting, and the Perito Moreno glacier where we came the morning after the great rupture,; I've seen glaciers in Iceland, in Canada and in Norway but never something like this, almost like a living creature.
I liked Buenos Aires as a lively and a swinging city and what struck me was that most people seem always in a good mood.
I appreciate your wine but did you know that argentine wines are very popular here. I myself buy regularly the Castillero del Diablo that you find in every supermarket overhere ( it is not chilean I hope).
The trip and your agency met all my expectations. Thanks and who knows, maybe hasta la vista.
warm greetings from
Walter and Lutgard, Belguim

Hi Yuna and Say Hueque!
First of all, thanks for the tips you emailed to me it helped us orient ourselves to the cities we are visiting! We enjoyed the scenery/sights of the provinces we visited especially Iguazu Falls, Perito Moreno Glacier Park and Mendoza wineries! We liked the hotel in Mendoza cause it is located in the center of [the] town and everything [was] walkable! The bus driver was not very helpful in aiding the older guests in getting in and out of the high van! They need to be better trained in being service oriented. I would like to commend the two lady tour guides Nadia and the lady who toured us in Perito Moreno ( I forgot her name!) cause they were both very [knowledgeable] and attentive!
Hope that you would view these comments constructively so you can improve your service!

Dear Yuna,
Thank you for your email.
Yes I am back to "normal" life for a week now.
We enjoyed very much everywehre we went (big cities like Buenos Aires and Santiago, Valaparaiso, towns in Patagonia (with the endless wind) and the heat and dust in Salta and the Atacama desert. We also went to Iguazu. Santiago is a big, moderne city; we preferred Buenos Aires with the charm of its older buildings.
We loved it all. All the hotels we stayed at were very nice and comfortable. For your info, here are our comments:
- Buenos Aires: waldorff: great because right in the centre
- Iguazu: Cantera Lodge - very nice - we walked and took the bus to Iguazu and the falls
- Salta: Candela: right in the centre
- Ushuaia: naranjo: right in the centre
- Calafate: cantera lodge: fantasitic view and 4 blocs form main street
- Puerto Natales: martin gusinde: nice and close to centre
- Santiago: Diego de valasquez: good location
- San Pedro de Atacama: casa de don thomas: looked like one of the best - clean and comfortable
Although not booked with your agency, we found the visit to lakes escondito and fagnano a loss of time (the guide stopped a long time at a cefeteria for breakfast and then lunch). The excursion in the park of tierra del fuego was OK, although could be skipped if the person has time constraints. But the boat trip on the beagle channel to go and see the penguins was fantastic. Not te be missed. If I had to redo it, I would only do this excursion when in Ushuaia.
El Calafate was fantastic: the glaciers - including the 2 hour walk on the Perito; the next day the boat trip to the various glaciers with their highway of icebergs!
Same in Puerto Natales, the boat trip to the glaciers was great ending with a delicious meal of patagonian lamb with chilean wine - of course.
The burnt part of Torres del Paine was not a problem as most of the park is very dry and the grass cut very short - by vicuñas.. Only where trees have been burned that you see clearly thre burned trees. see attached pìctures.
In San Pedro de Atacama unfortunately all the tops of the high montains were covered by clouds and the last day the police had closed the road to the geysers. I recommend that visiting San Pedro de Atacama should be done outside of the rainly seaon.
We had sun everyday, ate well and enjoyed the wine.
Thank you for the recipee below and list of wine
With my best regards,
Nicole
I had a great time on my trip

Hola Veronica!
Good to hear from you.
I am fine thanks, settling back into "real" life in Escocia! Snow forecast for tomorrow! Oh for some Buenos Aires sunshine!
I had a great time on my trip and I would like to thank you and all the staff at Say Hueque for all your help, and your professionalism. All this helped to make my trip easy and enjoyable.
There was one slight problem on the trip, and I have already e-mailed Mauro about this - the buses from Puerto Natales to Punta Arenas, and from Punta Arenas to Ushuaia were different companies from what I had on my intinerary. No problem from Puerto Natales to Punta Arenas, since I was dropped off at the appropriate bus station, but it did cause me a bit of difficulty in Punta Arenas, where I ended up at the wrong bus station only to find that there was no booking for me. However, I did eventually find the right place!
Other than that, everything went well. All the pick-ups and drop-offs were on time, and this was a great help. All credit to everyone at Say Hueque! The bottle of wine at the start and the cholcolates at the end of the trip were really unexpected, and they added a nice, friendly touch to your service.
On one day when I was wandering through the streets of Buenos Aires, I came across the Say Hueque office. I looked in the window but didn't recognise anyone, otherwise I might have come in!
Hard to say what the highlights of my trip were, but I really enjoyed wandering the streets of Buenos Aires (I never once felt threatened or that I was in any danger at all); I loved El Chalten and the hiking trails; the trip to the Perito Moreno Glacier; kayaking in Lago Grey in Chile; rafting in Ushuaia. I don't think I appreciated how long the journey would be from Punto Arenas to Ushuaia (15 hours, including over a 4 hour wait for a ferry to cross the Magellan Straits!). I think it would have been better to fly from Punto Arenas or even from El Calafate to Ushuaia. Might have been good to have had at least one day in Punto Arenas - as it was, I arrived there late at night and left early the next morning. And as anywhere in the world, we can do nothing about the weather - gales in Torres del Paine; rain, hail, sleet and snow in Ushuaia. But hey, that's all part of the experience!
All in all, I was delighted with the trip, and the work that the staff in Say Hueque did was fantastic. I would certainly be in touch with you again, should I ever manage to get back to Argentina!
I have attached some pictures of the trip; and also one from Glasgow - me, in my kilt, with an Argentinian flag!
I will definitely try out some of your recipes, and I am already familiar with some of your Argentinian wine!
Best wishes,
Kevin
Thank you again for your help. I have already recommended your agency to friends who have since traveled to Argentina.

My husband Dave and I would like to thank you for your service and help in booking our around Argentina trip in February. Everything you planned worked out beautifully.
The hotels, transportation and tours were excellent. The agencies were always there when we arrived at a new city.
The tours you recommended were the best to get to know each region. We would not have known which ones to take without your help.
The hotels and Inns met our expectations and we met many interesting and friendly people from all over the world. My husband’s favorite hotel was the Orquideas Palace in Iguazu because of their breakfast and dinner buffets. My favorite was the Hotel Bohemia in Mendoza as I liked the fact that they served low fat yogurt and a variety of melons and fresh fruit for breakfast.
In Salta we had Esteban as our guide for four days. We quickly became friends. He was knowledgeable and his English was very good. On our first tour we were the only ones the first day and shared the second day with a lady from Uruguay. On the second two day tour we shared the trip with a couple from Australia. Esteban was an excellent driver which was very important as it had rained heavily the day before we took the tour and the unpaved road was washed out in many spots. Esteban was able to maneuver his way through the running water. We felt save in his hands.
In El Calafate I was particularly impressed by the service provided by the Huellas del Sur Travel Agency of confirming our air flight and printing out our boarding passes before arriving at the airport. This is a service none of the other agencies provided.
Thank you again for your help. I have already recommended your agency to friends who have since traveled to Argentina.
Until we meet again,
Ruth, the USA
Great memories from a very enjoyable trip

Hi Yuna,
We just arrived in Utah after taking a break in Arizona with our daughters. Congratulations Say Hueque! Great memories from a very enjoyable trip. Anne is already posting some of the 500 plus photos we took on this occasion. Yuna, you were the perfect introduction to your beautiful Argentina; it was a joy being with you and listening to your experiences and anecdotes about Buenos Aires. You were prompt, generous, knowledgeable and full of enthusiasm and energy. Thank you Say Hueque for sending you to welcome us and guide us at the beginning of our tour. Daniel and Gustavo in Ushuaia were outstanding and very helpful. To Helena M. our thanks for all the planning and coordination of this tour. Buenos Aires, El Calafate, Ushuaia, and Iguazu are unforgettable places. When we were driving back from Phoenix I asked Anne about her favorite moment on this tour, both of us agreed about that day of trekking, lunching and boating in Tierra del Fuego National Park with Daniel as our guide, a great introduction to learning about the Yamana and the local culture. It was especially nice to always be in small groups on all the tours. All the hotels were well located although in my opinion the hotel personnel affects the quality of your stay. Patagonia Rebelde was very special simply because the effort and welcoming atmosphere given to us by Mariana, a very capable individual. Hotel Tribeca in B. Aires was a bit of a disappointment, large rooms in a beautiful building with some hotel personnel somehow disconnected and not very helpful with their guests. They were more interested in talking to their peers instead of helping each other to help their guests. I have already recommended Say Hueque to my sister and her family and several friends. We were right to choose a local tour company for this 36th honeymoon celebration. Keep up the great job Say Hueque. Thank you!

Carmen,
Thank you so much for you and your teams dedicated support whilst I was in Argentina.
My trip to Argentina was way too short. Three weeks flew by. I had a great opportunity to meet my family in Argentina.
The Asado was to die for, the beef and wine was totally superb and rivaled that of Australian wine and beef, although from my point of view Argentina's wine and beef surpassed that of Australia's.
My trip to El Calafate that was organised by Say Hueque was one of the most professionally organised and run trips I have ever had the privilege to be on. The guides in El Calafate are world class and nothing is ever too hard or difficult for them. There is no language barrier to try and break.
The hotel we stayed at in El Calafate was brilliant, the hotel staff were amazing.
My time in El Calafate was brilliant, the people, staff and guides were all friendly and amazingly helpful.
No picture can truly captulate the true view, feeling of the Glaciers... it is something that is a must see! It is truely an experience I will never forget.
There is nothing about my trip that could be improved upon.
I want to thank you so much for all your hard work and support for my trip to Argentina.
No doubt I will return to Argentina sometime soon, and will contact you to help me visit a new part of Argentina.
Kindest Regards
Rob

[:en]Hi Yuna, sadly we are back home from our amazing trip to Argentina. Thank you so much to Say Hueque for putting together an amazing side trip to Mendoza for us. Thank you for the recipes for the empanadas, I will try it soon. Below is a short commentary about our travels to Mendoza with some pics attached. My only suggestion would be to include more wineries in the wine tour. We felt like just seeing two didnt really give us a full view of the wine scene in Mendoza. But everything else was great. All the best!
My husband and I landed in Mendoza unsure of what was expecting us. Thankfully, from the minute we stepped outside of our plane we were greeted by a warm and friendly Say Hueque staff who picked us up at the airport and dropped us off at the hotel. Instantly, we felt like we were in good hands and our time in Mendoza would go stress-free and fun. We participated in a wine tour guided by a very likeable and knowledgeable tour guide who took us to some beautiful wineries. Our second tour was the Andes High Mountain Tour, which was life changing and was a full day of exploring the foothills all the way to the high mountains in the Andes with a tour guide who kept us all motivated and entertained. I would do this tour again and again if I could! Thank you Say Hueque for a truly amazing stress-free experience![:]
