Hola Carolina
I am so sorry for late answer, but i was busy at work, and I dont have computer at my home. So i have to go to the library on my day off, what I am always short of.
Once again, I had a very good time in Patagonia..I really would love to go back..
and i will send some notes about you, and your company on Tripadvisor, You deserve it..
You asked what was my problem at the hotel...
well... on my second day, when i did not have any tour, i planed to sleep a little bit longer. I am on vacation correct???? but at around 07.00 am, started to renovate the walls next to my room.... kicking with hammer, slamming the door.. etc..
.I did not say anything at the front desk, I was thinking thats fine, one day, and i am on vacation.
however i mentioned one of the guest who i had tour together on the following day.
On my last night i was told, that i have to check out at 10.00 am. I asked if they can extended till 12.00 or later as my flight at 16.00.
They said no, they have guest at 12.00!!!!
next morning when i checked out, the guest, who i mentioned the troubled morning, told me, that i can stay till 12.00.
a day before he mentioned to the hotel staff what happened with me. they told HIM as a compliment i can stay longer on my last. But nobody told me anything.
I asked him, how does he know and why nobody told me anything. He said they thought we are a couple!!! My question is, why we could be couple, as accidentally we have the same tour???
so I told the gentleman at the counter, that i will stay till in my room till 12.00. he said i can stay only till 11.00. He was not nice, not friendly. when i walked back to my room, the bed was undone, the matrace on the floor..
went back and i asked the gentleman if i could have a coffee, it was 15 minutes before finishing the breakfast. he said i cannot have as the restaurant is closed... i mentioned that i have 15 minutes, he refused to let me in and have coffee..
on the afternoon, coming back, from a walk, while waiting i was thinking to get my own instant coffe.. so I asked the same gentleman, could I have hot water... he said if i have a cup. I told him i am on vacation not bringing cups with me, let me go to the restaurant and have a cup. He did not let me or he did not get me a cup, saying the restaurant is closed...
it was so sad, and frustrated.. The whole week i enjoyed my time, the beautiful landscape, the nice people.... but on my last day this guy ruined everything...
by the way.. there was no guest in my room at 12.00, they started to renovate around 13.00. I saw, as I was sitting in the "living room" . so they did not even told me the true.
i hope this happens with me only... I love the hotel, it was nice, good location...
and LOVE PAtagonia.
Thank you for your time Carolina

Dear Carolina,
The trip was amazing, the excursions throughout Patagonia were all wonderful, with excellent guides.
The hotels in Puerto Madryn and El Calafate were gorgeus. Maybe the chilean accomodations were not the same level actually. In Ushuaïa also the hotel was fine.
The long bus trips were also absolutely worth the effort, including the 21 hour trip from Puerto Madryn to El Calafate. We were only very sad about the Beagle Channel cruise - which I know Valentina told you about- that was cancelled because of the wind.
For anything else it has been an amazing trip. Thank you so much for making it happen.
Melania

Good day.
Better late than never.
Thank you for these 4 incredible days and please thank our great driver/cook/guide who was outstanding.
I took pictures but also took few short videos during this memorable trip.
Here is a short video reminding us what it was all about https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hSyktk6rB0A
Thanks again,

PS to Carolina: Thanks for the bottle of wine.

Hi Carolina,
Hope you are enjoying wonderful Buenos Aires.
I would like to comment on the arrangements Say Hueque had made for us for our trips to Patagonia and Iguazu Falls:
1. Patagonia:
a. Flights and transfers – The flight by Sky Airlines to Punta Arenas and back was very comfortable. The transfer by Kipaventour at Punta Arenas was on time and the driver was very courteous and friendly stopping on the way to show us some of the wild life in the area. For the transfer back from our Hotel in Punta Arenas we had to request the Hotel receptionist to contact Patagonia Planet to ensure that the pickup from Hotel Tierra Del Fuego would be on time for our flight which was confirmed on the morning that we were to leave.
b. Hotel Patagonia If, Puerto Natales – This hotel staff were very courteous and friendly and the room was very comfortable and very clean and was within walking distance to the town centre. I would recommend this hotel to most travellers to this area.
c. Full day tour Torres del Paine – The tour was very interesting specially the tour guide who made every effort to explain the various attractions in the area. As there was no transfer bus at the conclusion of the tour, the guide dropped us to our Hotel Las Torres.
d. Hotel Las Torres, Torres del Paine – This hotel is located inside the park and the services provided by the Hotel were excellent. The staff were very friendly and cooperative, the room was very large and comfortable. This was an excellent choice.
e. Posada Patagonia Rebelde, El Calafate 3 nights– The location of this hotel was very inconvenient as the approach road was not in good condition and it appeared to be like a construction site. The staff were very courteous and friendly. The room was very small and cramped and the bathroom could at any time only accommodate one person at a time which was very inconvenient. The décor of the hotel was unique and appealing, however, the floor boards were all wooden and would creek every time one walked. The walls of the rooms were very thin and one could hear the noise from the other rooms especially when the guests would come in very late at night. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone who plans to stay more than one night.
f. Tours to Perito Moreno and Upsala Glaciers – This was truly the highlight of the entire trip. The sights were just magical and awesome. The weather was good at Perito Moreno that made it possible for us to get a very good view of the glacier, however due to the rains and high winds in the Upsala Glacier area, we were unable to enjoy the view. None the less it is most recommended for a visit to both these glaciers.
g. Overland travel El Calafate to Punta Arenas – According to the arrangements, bus travel was to be arranged for us right through. However, the first leg from El Calafate to Puerto Natales was confirmed, but at Puerto Natales there was no help from Patagonia Planet for our onward journey to Punta Arenas. We arrived at Puerto Natales at midday and all buses were full so we could get a ticket to Punta Arenas very late that evening after waiting for more than 6 hours. This would probably been due to a communication problem with the travel agent.
h. Hotel Tierra Del Fuego, Punta Arenas – What a relief for us to reach this hotel after more than 12 hours on the bus from El Calafate. The Hotel was just walking distance from the bus terminal. The hotel was extremely comfortable and very spacious. The location of this hotel is very strategic as it was close to most of the historic sights. The hotel staff were extremely friendly and courteous.
2. Iguazu Falls:
a. Flights and transfers – the flights to and from Puerto Iguazu were very comfortable, and the transfers were on time.
b. Iguazu Falls tour Argentinian and Brazilian sides – The Falls were just an amazing sight truly worth every effort to get there. The weather was a bit unfriendly as it was very hot and humid. We enjoyed the view from the Argentinian side and the Brazilian side, however, the view from the Brazilian side was a bit more panoramic.
c. Hotel Jasy, Puerto Iguazu – The location of this hotel was a bit out of the way. Whilst the décor and setting of the hotel was very nice, the room was very spacious and could accommodate 5 persons. Because of the size of the room the air condition was insufficient to cool the room particularly on those hot days. The bathroom needed some improvement as the taps were not functioning too well and water from the shower was at a very low pressure. The hotel staff were very courteous and friendly.
3. Overall Service Performance by Say Hueque: I would like to thank Silvia, Pia and Carolina for all the efforts they have put into planning our tours to Patagonia and Iguazu Falls. The professionalism exhibited by these young ladies must be commended as they made every effort to ensure that our tour was to our satisfaction barring the slight miscommunication regarding the bus service. I would certainly recommend their services to one and all on any budget who are planning a visit to Patagonia and Iguazu as we were thoroughly satisfied by their planning and execution. Excellent service Say Hueque !!!
Carolina, thank you once again for everything and if there is anything we could do for you from here in Australia, please do not hesitate to ask.
Good luck with your studies and we wish you all the very best in your future endeavours.
Cheers,
Ishwar and Veera.
We appreciated the seemless way our trip unfolded

Hola Carolina!
We arrived home yesterday morning and already our trip to your beautiful country seems like a dream! We had a wonderful adventure in Patagonia. Thankfully we had good weather at the start and at the finish, but unfortunately, we did have about a week of rainy, cloudy weather which impeded what I’m sure were even more spectacular views. We loved all areas that we explored and we wouldn’t have removed any of them from our itinerary if we were to do the trip again…the only thing we would change is to have more time to explore each area and to do some backpacking (but we didn’t have enough time away from work to make this happen). We REALLY LOVED what we did do and see. What a gorgeous country you are lucky to call home.
Our hotels were satisfactory overall. Our favorite was Hosteria Cauquenes de Nimez where there was a great mix of beauty, comfort, customer service, and homemade breakfast items. Our least favorite was the Hotel Chapital in Punta Arenas. The room was too small, the breakfast did not meet the same level of quality as the other hotels and though the staff were friendly, the customer service was basic.
The guides that we had for each excursion were excellent! They were all passionate about sharing the information about the location and the native people and had excellent English language skill (much appreciated). They were very responsive to our many questions and once they were aware of our personal interests they made sure to point out birds, animals, etc to make our personal adventures even better.
We appreciated the seemless way our trip unfolded as each transfer, excursion, and bus station experience occurred without incident. When we had questions, the hotel staff were always quick to make a phone call to the scheduled company to confirm pick up times, etc. When we were in El Calafate, we lost our I-phone on our first excursion to Perito Moreno. Bruno (from Hosteria Cauquenes de Nimez) did a great job calling Huella del Sur for us to explain the problem. The Huella del Sur staff were able to locate the phone and we picked it up the next morning at the office. We were very impressed and grateful for this level of customer service from both companies!
I also want to thank Silvia and Pia who made all of our pre- trip planning easy and were quick to answer all of our many questions before we left. I’m sure they were tired of hearing from me, but they were always gracious and friendly in their responses.
Suggestions for future travelers:
1. A local map included in the final itinerary package for each town would certainly make things easier with hotel, supermarkets, money exchange, and banks marked as well as some locations of recommended restaurants. We felt like we lost a lot of time just looking for things, finding a supermarket to find items we could use for lunches, and it was a little scary to arrive in a location at a bus station and try to figure it all out.
2. Knowing ahead of time what the hotels offered (hair dryer, shampoo, conditioner, soap) would also be helpful to know what to pack. These items varied with each hotel and we packed very light thinking there would be these basics everywhere- it all worked out in the end.
3. Knowing ahead of time if lunch is able to be purchased on the excursions would also be helpful ahead of time. Since we went with a basic tour package where only breakfast was included, we sometimes felt rushed to find lunch items for the next day only to find out we could have just purchased it at the restaurant that the rest of the group ate in.
These items are just suggestions. Not having them available added to our overall adventure and memories, but may be items for consideration in the future.
Thank you for including your empanada recipe. We will certainly try it here at home and share it with others! Thank you for your follow up and for helping us put together a great trip! We really wish we had been able to spend more time and explore more, but what we did see was superb!
Thanks for everything! Chow!

Hola Carolina,
Saludos,
Mariana
The most wonderful trip to South America
- Veera PrasadThe most wonderful trip to South America
Hi Carolina,
I am so sorry we have not written earlier. We are finally back after the most wonderful trip to South America. We were in Rio for 1 week and came back just today after a very long flight. I want to thank you for the lovely dinner and wine. also for the recipes..It was so sweet of you to take the time to send it to me. I am leaving for India in 2 days and Ishwar will join me on Wednesday next week.He will write a very good comment on Trip Advisor about your company. You guys are very professional and we were very happy about all the arrangements except for the bus mess up.
Kind regards,
Veera
You did a perfect job; the setup of the itinerary was ideally balanced and impeccably organised

Dear Patricio,
It is hard to believe how fast a three-weeks time turn to elapse....having arrived in this beautiful country on 15th March, we were looking forward to spend a LONG time....however, on today's day of our departure for heading back home, we much regret the fact that our journey has come to an end so quickly.
Before we are now waving our hands for saying "hasta lluego", it is our sincere request to express our gratefullness for having been in such professional hands like yours. You just did a perfect job: the setup of the itinerary was ideally balanced and impeccably organised.
Everything worked as it should and precisely like a Swiss clockwork. All your partners have provided their services beyond any critics.
However, let us make two comments, anyhow......:
1) BLOOMERS Hotel in Salta: we would not select this hotel again! Service and kindness of staff was warm and welcoming, but the rooms all had a strong musty smell which bothered as quite. All our cloths took that smell which was pretty annoying.
2) SALTA: tour to the "Salinas Grandes" and Purmamarca: BELAGGIO's driver Fernando came along with some small Renault vehicle, a pretty uncomfortable car type to accommodate my wife and myself plus two german guests being both at least 1.90m tall. Mind you the tour lasted roughly 10hrs. A slightly more spacious vehicle type would have been highly valued!
But apart from these two minor "incidents", we are returning home tonight with a Full array of great memories and are most grateful for exceptional experiences we were gifted while travelling accross Argentina!
We wish you lots of success in all your tasks and send you a warm good-bye!
With kind regards,
Esther & Walter AREGGER
