We had an absolutely wonderful trip.

We had an absolutely wonderful trip.

Hi Carolina!
Thanks for the note. I am home and back to work (sadly). Maly should be arriving back today. We had an absolutely wonderful trip. We lucked out with pretty good weather and really enjoyed the beauty Patagonia has to offer.
As for your questions...
Which hotel did you like the most? I liked the Kau Yatun the most. I liked that it was close to downtown, served food, and had a pretty helpful staff.

What was the best of traveling with us? I absolutely adored El Chalten. Even though it was a small town, there was so much to see within hiking distance. I am very glad you booked us a couple nights there.
Upgrading to the minitrekking made the experience something truly unforgettable. I am glad we did more than just see the glacier.

My tour guide in Buenos Aires was fantastic, I learned a lot about the history of the country that I would have overlooked when staring at natures wonders in the South :)

Is there anything you think could be improved? There were some communication issues. For example, on the day of the trip to Torres del Paine, we were never given an updated pick up time. Our paperwork estimated 7am, so that's what we planned for. We were quite surprised when the bus showed up at 6:15am. We also did not realize how far away Torres was or how long the border crossing could take. Because of this, we wished we had been booked overnight there.

There were a few other miscommunications as well. One email said the park fees should be paid in pesos, but another said they took USD. Turns out they accept both. Also, we were told not much closes during the winter holidays because it is high tourist season, yet many restaurants and businesses were closed New Years Eve and New Years Day. It was difficult for us to even find food on New Years Eve after returning late from Torres del Paine.

Lastly, 2 free days in Calafate seemed unnecessary. We quickly realized the city is a jumping off point for the excursions, but that is it. There was little to do. An itinerary that maybe only adds a day but includes Ushuaia (instead of having it as an add on only, like Malavika did), would have been ideal.

Thanks for the empanada recipe and wine suggestions! Those were probably our two favorite consumables throughout the trip, especially the lamb empanadas.

We had a lovely time at Iguazu National Park.

We had a lovely time at Iguazu National Park.

Dear Agustina and Pia,
We are back home after our long break. We arrived late last night.
We had a lovely time at Iguazu National Park. Our guide, Mabel, was terrific. We got in an hour late as our flight was delayed. Despite that, we got to see a lot of the park. This was thanks to Mabel who ensured that we did not miss out on any of the tremendous attractions of the Park. It was a wonderful day and we will cherish the memory forever. Thanks for organising this trip for us.
Please do use the above paragraph as a testimonial if you wish.

Regards,
Sonia.

It was the most amazing water experience of my life.

It was the most amazing water experience of my life.

We went with say Hueque to iguazu. It was the most amazing water experience of my life. They solved all the problems including a problem with changing money. We arrived December 31 and we could not find a place to change money, and we were going to the iguazu park the next day which only accepts AR$. We were told not to worry that the guide would change $ for us. The guide was fantastic, knowledgeable, and very professional. They have a 24 hour answering service that is there for you to solve any problems. This company is fantastic. I would use them any time for travel arrangements. You can trust them completely. They will exceed your expectations! Mercedes jordan. USA

Our trip to Argentina was the most amazing trip either of us have ever had the pleasure of experiencing.

Our trip to Argentina was the most amazing trip either of us have ever had the pleasure of experiencing.

Hi Agustina!

Sorry this email took awhile to get back to you but with the holidays, things are just starting to settle back down. I hope this finds you well! Thank you also for the empanada recipe - can't wait to try it out!

As for our feedback...

Our trip to Argentina was the most amazing trip either of us have ever had the pleasure of experiencing. We were both a little nervous as neither of us had been to South America so we had no idea what to expect. Thankfully, you guys were able to organize everything, and so quickly, too! The communication via email was prompt and helped ease our nerves. Everything ran pretty smoothly from our pickups and hotel reservations. It also really helped that you worked closely with the hotels and communicated with them as well so that everyone knew what was going on with our trip.

Which hotel did you like the most? La Posada Hotel in Puerto Madryn was soo charming! We loved the outdoor garden area and the sun room where we had breakfast and dinner. The decor was lovely and the wifi worked well.
What was your favorite excursion? It's tough to choose but doing the Big Ice hike at Perito Moreno Glacier was breathtaking. The guides were great and funny. We also got lucky during the whale watching excursion in Peninsula Valdes. We were in awe of the great whales. And of course the trip to see the penguins at Martillo Island (I might be biased because that's where Arm proposed :) )
What was the best of traveling with us? Is there anything you think could be improved? I wish we were able to get our WhatsApp to link up so that we could communicate through that instead of email. You did give us your work number but with our cellular phone plan, it would cost extra for us to make phone calls. But the emails worked out fine!

Also, we thought some of the restaurants could've been updated or maybe not as touristy? One of the restaurants listed had closed down. I know you guys wrote that it might not be updated since things are always changing. Oh! And just as a side note, that pasta restaurant you recommended in BA was closed down. I forgot what it was called but it started with an F and was across the street from a square/plaza.

All in all, I definitely will recommend Say Hueque to any of my friends wanting to visit Argentina/Chile. I already have people saying they would love to go and how beautiful it looked.

Thank you so much for everything once again. We definitely fell in love with Argentina/Patagonia and miss it very much. It was a trip we'll never forget.

Have a happy new year!

Say Huegue did not dissappoint.

Say Huegue did not dissappoint.

Dear Constanza,
Sorry for the late reply but i've been so busy since i got back. So here's my comment on the trip to Iguazu:
For 4 years i've been wanting to see the Iguazu waterfalls and as i booked my last trip to Ushuaia with Say Hueque i just knew that i had to book this trip aswell to be sure it was going to be a great experience. And yet again, Say Huegue did not dissappoint. From the booking of the trip, advice and answering all my questions before the trip to the pick up from the airport and the whole day at Iguazu i couldn't be happier to have chosen Say Hueque again. I have traveled a lot and seen beautiful places in the world, but the Iguazu Falls took my breath away. The energy, the sounds of the jungle and beautiful views...it is amazing! And the experience was even better as to having my own very knowlegable and kind tourguide by my side to show me the best places, animals, views and where to get a nice refreshing spray of the falls, aswell where to stop for food and drinks. If you love nature and esspecially the power of mother earth...this trip is a definite must on your To See list!
Only thing that might be something that could be improved is the flight schedule or maybe to offer to take a trip into town for some food at a nice restaurant before going back to the airport (if a day-trip is booked). As the park closes around 5 or 6, waiting for a flight so long at a airport with little facilities is a little boring. (plus the restaurant at the airport doesn't serve really good food unfortunately).

As to everything else, i'm still so happy i had you as my guide, it was such an amazing day and having you as a guide made it so much fun! Thank you so much!!!!!!

With kind regards,

Overall, we had an amazing honeymoon trip in Patagonia!

Overall, we had an amazing honeymoon trip in Patagonia!

Hola Carolina,
Happy New Year! Thanks for following up with us.
Overall, we had an amazing honeymoon trip in Patagonia! Our experiences were once-in-a-lifetime, and we can't believe how much we saw over nine days, including Perito Moreno Glacier, Cerro Frias, Cerro Torre (hiked 10 miles to see it up close!), and Torres del Paine. It was a pleasure working with Say Hueque as you planned all the trip details, then all we had to do was show up! You also provided great client service by checking in with us on each day of our trip.
Everyone that we met in Argentina and Chile was so warm and welcoming. From this trip, we also gained a deeper appreciation for nature conservation as Patagonia features some of the most beautiful areas on Earth.
By far, our favorite hotel was Cauquenes De Nimez in El Calafate. In fact, this hotel was one of the best bed and breakfasts that we have experienced. Their staff was very friendly; the restaurant's dinners were top-notch, farm-to-table gastronomy; and the views overlooking Laguna de Nimez and Lago Argentina were amazing. We felt Cauquenes de Nimez was like a "home away from home."
The only aspect that we would suggest improving from our trip was the transport from El Chalten to Puerto Natales within 24 hours. It was very hard on us to take the El Chalten to El Calafate bus transfer from 7-10 pm, then leave El Calafate at 6:45 am the next day to see Torres del Paine and finally arrive at Puerto Natales at 10 pm that night (15-hour excursion with little sleep). We understand that an earlier bus transfer was not possible from El Chalten considering it was Christmas Day, but moving forward, you may want to schedule differently with Torres del Paine over the holiday season.
We will send pictures from our amazing trip in a separate email, and thank you for the empanada recipe and wine list! It was a pleasure working with you as well.
Kind regards,
Annette & Keith

Just wanted to check back in and let you know about our wonderful trip. We thoroughly enjoyed the experience.

Hola Vera and Yuna,

Just wanted to check back in and let you know about our wonderful trip. We thoroughly enjoyed the experience. The hike and rafting in Ushuaia and the
hiking in El Chalten and Torres del Paine were a couple of the highlights.
The hotel locations were all very good. The hotel in Punta Arenas was probably the least favorite. It was a little more run down but the location was good.
We were very happy with the Hotel Loreto in Santiago. It's location was excellent for walking out to sight see and dine. If you don't use it regularly I would
recommend it be one you do use.
We enjoyed the knowledge and enthusiasm of the tour guides you had us with. Patty was a lot of fun in Buenos Aires and helpful when my suitcase was
lost between Buenos Aires and Mendoza. I got it back a day later so it worked out ok. All the transportation was good, everyone was very prompt, on time.
All the tours and activities we were part of gave us a great sampling of Argentina and an appreciation for how big it is.
We would certainly do the trip again !

Thanks and have a great new year,

Richard Lester

Thank you for the most wonderful holiday ever!!

Dear Say Hueque

Thank you for the most wonderful holiday ever!!

We were a bit unsure at the beginning. Were Say Hueque real? Would the buses work properly? ...and so on

But... We were so happy. All the transport were on time and very good. We liked the small buses and Daniela, our tourgide to Periti Moreno we very good.

A Special thank you for our tourgide to the Torres del Paine. He we excellent. His knowledge of geology of the area, birds and plants is very very good.

The hotel in El Calafate, Kau Yatun, is very good. Especialy the last night the in the suite were fantastic. I liked the breakfasts.
The Indigo Hotel in El Chalten, Senderos, was ok. The breakfast was not on standard, but the basics were there.
The Indigo Hotel in Puerto Natales is also good. The went out of there way to open the kitchen earlier to accommodate us on 18 December.

Thank you for the recipes.
