The Falls were absolutely stunning and we got our boat trip under the falls and also got to see Devil's Throat - all safe and sound and back home now and planning next holiday already!!!

Yes thank you we had a good flight to Salta and tonight are enjoying sitting on the square in Cafayate. We absolutely loved the hotel in Cachi the El Cortijo - it was spectacular. The only complaint we have is that it was very hard to find because no directions or town maps were supplied. We also had a very difficult time finding the hotel in Salta as we drove in from the airport, the map the car hire company supplied was hard to read and many of the streets had no street signs. We speak very little Spanish so I think it would be helpful to supply your foreign clients clear directions as how to find hotels a nd routes in and out of towns. Otherwise we are having a wonderful time, Iguazu was stunning, we really enjoyed our guide Mabel, she was very knowledgable and interesting and the confusion about whether the entry fees were included or not and the trip to Brazil were not a problem. We went back to the Park that day and walked the marvellous upper trail. The scenery in the Calchaquí valleys is amazing and we love the empanadas!

Just wanted to say thanks for all of your help in organizing our trip. Also with dealing with our problems on the day our flight was canceled (during the airport strike). We are used to being flexible when traveling and having to deal with problems and changes but it was really nice to have you take care of that so we could spend our time enjoying the area rather than travel planning!

I would say everything went extremely smoothly for this trip. All of the accommodations worked out great for us and most were better than expected.

Buenos Aires--only had a brief, jet-lagged day here so did not see much but really liked the Mine hotel and the area around it was beautiful to walk around.

El Calafate--such a fun little town. the Hotel Kosten Aike was great. Good breakfast service. We were happy to stay there twice. the guide we had for Perito Moreno glacier was also friendly and very informative, well worth the cost. the hotel Esplendor was our least favorite lodging....too far from downtown, rooms were worn and dated (and we couldn't adjust thermostat or open window so room was much to warm), and staff much less helpful than most places we stayed (we were stuck there during the strike delay and they seemed disinterested in accommodating us or anyone else who was stranded). Ate at La Tablita, Isabel, and Casimiro Biguá...all were excellent.

EL Chalten--another great small town. Loved the hotel Don Los Cerros. Amazing views over valley. Restaurant looks great but service was just so-so. Great hiking, of course. Ate at La Cervecería which was very good and at our hotel, which was just OK for the money.

Torres Del Paine--the lodging was better than expected everywhere we stayed! the Hotel Las Torres was probably our favorite hotel (with Don Cerros). Great restaurant and bar. The cabins at Los Cuernos were amazing and so welcome after a rainy hike. Paine Grand was as expected except didn't realize we would have a two-person dorm room, which was great. The Refugio Grey lodge was also very nice. Again, thanks for making those reservations for us! The food at the refugios was also good considering the large groups they were serving. Can't complain about any of it (other than that big cloud that wanted to cover the Torres most of the time :)

The bus and Catamaran worked well for us and ran on schedule. Our rental car...well, I have to admit that was probably the worst rental car I've ever driven (and i''ve rented cars all over the world). Reminded me of the first car I bought when I was 16 :) it was really worn out, would not go over 80km/hr because tires/alignment were so bad car would shake too much. I'm thinking they gave us this car because we were driving to Chile (and the gravel roads there were rough) and I saw a few other similar rental cars but, it was car that probably needs to be retired. But it did get us around and back again so I guess I can't complain! And it was so old (manual windows and door locks) that when we locked our keys in the car at the border of Argentina we were able (with the help of the really friendly Argentinian Army guys stationed there) to break in without damaging anything...so that was a big positive!

Speaking of the border crossing, we did not know we had to get paperwork to enter Chile until we picked up car at airport. Since they did not have paperwork at airport we then had to pick it up from the Hertz in El Calafate the next day. It was not a big deal as we had extra time but we would have liked to have known about that before.

Which brings me to my biggest gripe about the trip planning. When I talked to your agents about bringing in pesos (for Argentina and Chile) I was told it was easy to get money in El Calafate. Perhaps it was because we were there during a festival but we had a very difficult time getting cash...either ATMs were out of cash or would only give us the equivalent of $80 per transaction (and each withdrawal cost us about $8, so 10% charge, which is much higher than we would have paid here). Also impossible to get Chilean pesos anywhere there (even in Buenos Aires airport, AEP). Luckily we found money exchange at border in Cerro Castilla. But it have been easier and cheaper to bring in pesos from US rather than spend so much time looking for it.

Also finding gas in El Calafate was an issue but I think there was a problem with gas delivery and the festival going on but when we arrived cars were lined up for an hour to get gas. When we returned to El Calafate after Torres Del Paine the problem had resolved.

Mendoza--loved this whole area! I know I booked my own hotels here but thought I'd tell you what I thought of them. the Park Hyatt was nice and very central to walking around downtown. Ate at Azafran and Ocho Cepas which were both very good. the hotel Auberge du Vin was nice, great comfortable rooms, very nice staff but we felt like it was too far from everything else and it seemed empty and a little sterile (if that word makes sense). Was not nearly as fun as the bustling city around the Hyatt but it was still relaxing.

Our winery guide, Gabriella, was charming and very helpful and informative. And our driver, Martin, was also friendly and did a great job driving us around. We enjoyed all of the wineries we visited and liked the mix of large, upscale wineries with smaller, family ones. Ruca Malen lunch was amazing. Zuccardi was also excellent. Maybe our favorite lunch was with the family on the day we hiked in the Andes...great food and a nice hike with our guide, Sergio, who was really fun to talk and hike with.

We drink lots of wine (we live in California, after all) but had not had much Argentinian wine. we really liked the Torrontes and the Malbec....we even bought a couple of cases to bring home with us! Luckily we have a great wine store in San Francisco that has many of those wines in stock so when we make empanadas we will have the appropriate wine to accompany them :) so thanks for the recipe!!

I think that covers everything. Again, I don't usually use a travel agency as I can generally make my own arrangements (and my mother was a travel agent here so I learned from her long ago) but I was very thankful to have you make our accommodations and guide choices. Again, everything was as good or better than we hoped it would be. I would highly recommend your agency to anyone traveling to Argentina, well-worth the cost! the trip went very well, and everything executed by say hueque was executed perfectly. of the three hotels we liked Eolo the best, and then Aguasarriba. Ya Katun was just ok. the rooms you booked were excellent. the drivers were on time, polite, etc. we enjoyed Patagonia very much, and also BA. We shall return! Special thanks to Lucia and Pia.

Which hotel did you like the most?

Our favorite hotel was Las Dunas in El Calafate. The staff was very friendly and especially helpful when we had the medical issue. The room was very nice, spacious, and had such a great view! It was also nice to have the restaurant in the hotel with many options so we did not have to go into town.

Which was your favorite excursion?

Our favorite excursion was the day tour of Torres del Paine. Both the driver and the guide were excellent and we stopped for numerous nature opportunities along the way. Even though it was a very long day it was great to see some much of the park and have the side trip to the Milodon cave at the end of the day.

The Buenos Aires city tour was also great!

What was the best of traveling with us? Is there anything you think could be improved?

At first it was a bit difficult communicating with the office via email to plan and confirm the trip. There were some issues with emails not going through and also repeated corrections to itineraries that seemed to have been copied and pasted without thorough checking.

Once we arrive in South America our communication with the company and the materials provided were very helpful and much appreciated. I did notice that there were brochures and information on all of our tour stops in Argentina but not in Chile. That would be nice since the pamphlets you provided were helpful!

Sorry, for not responding sooner. I have had low energy and have been swamped since I returned. I just forwarded this to Belize so she can respond also.

Favorite hotels were L’Hotel and the hosteria in El Calafate.

Favorite tour was the one in Bariloche where we had lunch on the boat and took a hike at the end of the arm (like a fjoird), known as the sad arm—the most remote arm of the lake and was limited to 15 people. Was a delight! I think we did this on a Wedn.

Loved how Say Hueque met my hotel requests, customized the tour to our itnerests, kept the prices low, and met us at every destination (except ElChaltan) to take us to our hotel and pick us up for the next destination. Also loved that you or a local operator always were available to answer any questions we had and to help us fin dan ATM, etc. You all took the hassle out of traveling at an affordabel rate! Love all your accommodations due to their friendly small size!

Your company is 5 star in my book. Will let Trip Advisor know too. Glad I found you on Budget Travel.
