We had a great time

We had a great time

Dear Veronica,

Thank you for your email. Sorry for getting back to you now.

Regarding our trip to Argentina, first of all we would like to point out that we had a great time in spite of the cancellation we had with Aerolines Argentina. We will definitely go back to visit the cities we missed on this trip.

Secondarily, we had a few complaints about our trip:

1. Aerolineas Argentina which their customer service is very poor. They attitude at the airport was rude and careless.
2. Posta Sur Hotel, in the room was very hot and we were unable to sleep one night so that caused us being tired next day for the Big Ice trip.
3. In Iguazu, when we had the Iguazu falls on Argentinian side trip, the guide was not good at all. She was not organised at all and she did not show any pruves that she knew what she was doing.

Unfortunately, we did not have time to download our pictures so we are unable to send you a picture now. When we have the pictures we will send one to you.

Hope that the above is useful to you.

Kind regards,

Alina & Gordon

Enjoyable and relaxing trip

Hi Mariana/Carmen,

I booked all my excursions from the UK through Say Hueque and found them really helpful and quick to respond from the moment i sent the first mail. All the tours, accomodation and correnspondance you receive from the moment you arrive at the airport was spot on and this made my trip really enjoyable and relaxing. I loved Argentina- the people, the food and the diverse landscape and would love to go back one day.

Many thanks to Mariana and Carmen, i highly recommend Say Hueque.

All the best from a grey and rainy London.

Andy

Hi Carolina,
Just wanted to thank you again for such a wonderful trip, it was great, no issues at all.
Some quick comments on the itinerary:
Hotels:
Ushuaia: Hosteria Del Recodo
Very nice, one of the nicest place I stayed, although a bit far from town and not much to do in the area, staff very friendly and rooms very clean

Punta Arenas: Hostal Oro Fueguino
Fine

Puerto Natales: Hotel Amerindia
Very, very friendly staff, great place and a wonderful stay, very cozy and comfortable, and great breakfasts!

El Calafate: Cauquenes de Nimez
Very nice place and a wonderful stay, and great breakfasts! They had bike available (which is one of the reason I close the hotel) which was great (although the bikes might need form work, flat tires and twisted handle bars).

El Chalten: Hosteria Pudu Lodge
Friendly and helpful staff and good breakfasts.
The W:
Fantástico Sur put together a great program. the accommodations were perfect and distances great, I think I would have liked to have one more day at the end of the hike at the hotel to relax. The route was perfect, what was the best was Torres was the main attraction and I did that last, so always had something to look forward to, and also after the major sight of the day (Grey Glacier, French Valley, etc) the refugeo was very close.
Transport:
The buses and the other transports (ferry, vans, etc) were great. Only issue was the trip from Punta Arenas to Ushuaia. There was little ventilation in the bus and also in the van so it was hot and a bit uncomfortable. It was also a long day, it would have been better to take a bus the entire way (Bus Sur had a non stop route) rather than waiting in Rio Grande for the shuttle.

Tours/Agents:
The tour of the National Park in Ushuaia was great, the guide and company was great, they were also very helpful printing out my vouchers and with the airport drop offs. No issues in Puerto Natales or El Calafate.

Once again, thanks for everything!
I’ll organize my photos and send some along later on.
Thanks again,
Brad

Hello Marcela
How are you ? I hope you are fine. Apologies for the long delay in responding. I had to go back to work the day after getting home from South America and then two friends from London arrived to stay with me for two weeks so I’ve been busy looking after them.

I heard about Say Hueque, from searching the internet for local travel agents in South America.
I like to use local businesses when i travel. That way i know i’m contributing to the economy and the locals like to present their country the best way possible.

My favourite destination was El Calafate. I loved the little town. My hotel was upgraded and the excursions to Perito Moreno and Torres Del Paine day trips were excellent.

My favourite hotel was Mirador Del Lago in El Calafate & Don Tomas in Atacama were both very good and hard to choose which one was better out of the two. Very good service at both hotels. The meals in the restaurants were delicious. The facilities and location was also very good and suited my needs

About the excrsion, it is hard to choose between Perito Moreno & Iguasu day trips. Both were excellent. But the organisation in El Calafate was probably the better out of the two.

Guides, They were all pretty good.

I think the full day trip to Argentine side of Iguasu is a bit too much if people are not doing the boat rides. There should be an option to do a half day trip without the boat ride. Because only 2 people in the group did the boat ride and the rest of us just sat around. People can spend the time to look at other waterfalls in the area but after a whole day of walking around it’s very tiring for some people.

Thanks again to Say Hueque and especially to you & Lucia and all the other people who helped me have a wonderful holiday.
Regards
Catherine
