As one of the world’s largest waterfalls, Iguazu Falls is not a place you would want to test out the old barrel over a waterfall theory. If you’ve ever visited, or even seen pictures of this natural world wonder, you are probably familiar with the astonishing magnitude and incomprehensible force within the Garganta del Diablo, Iguazu’s biggest and most famous waterfall.
1. Can you swim in the Iguazu Falls?
Walking along with either of the park’s two main circuits, visitors are provided with a seemingly infinite number of breathtaking views of the falls and at the same time are continuously presented with signs informing them that swimming is not permitted.
Though this may seem obvious to most, the obvious sometimes needs to be reinforced by way of public signs because the more adventurous people in the world, always looking for the next feat to conquer.
However, while these walking circuits are located in areas far too dangerous for swimming, if you’re interested in doing some Iguazu Falls Swimming, there is a place you can do so.

2. Iguazú Falls swimming: Where to go?
The trail to the Iguazu Falls swimming area is almost 2.4 miles in length, leading its followers deep into the forest. Also giving you a chance to sneak a peek at some animals you won’t be able to find in the main touristic area.
3. Go for an easy-going hike
The hike is extremely easy-going and enjoyable. Being so far off the beaten path, you’ll rarely come into contact with other visitors, and when you do, expect a pleasant encounter with these like-minded adventurers.
4. Reach the hidden waterfall!
At the end of the trail, there is a waterfall with a small area below in which visitors can swim. By inspecting the map of the National Park, you’ll notice this feature. If it is something you want to do, it is recommended to finish everything you want to do in the main area of the park, to make sure you don’t encounter time problems, and miss out on the main event.

5. Iguazú Falls’ classic walkways circuit
Part of the reason Iguazú Falls is such a popular tourist destination is because, in addition to the classic circuits like the walkway to Garganta del Diablo, there are many others visitors can explore. The two main walking circuits are fashioned with metal walkways and handrails and are stroller-friendly (tip for family travelers).
